Johnny Vegas is an English actor and comedian. He is known for his angry rants, surrealism, high husky voice and support of St Helens rugby league club. More recently he has moved into dramatic acting and directing.
Biography
September 26 is a definite date for your diary, as that’s when Becoming Johnny Vegas, the much-anticipated memoir of the award-winning actor, director and entertainer hits the shelves.
Quite clearly, writing such an extensive account has taken up a great deal of time, but that is not all Johnny has been up to recently by any means. He has also spent the past 12 months directing two dramas for BBC1’s Moving On series, the video for Billy Bragg’s Handyman Blues single and a new Sky One drama called Ragged, which features fellow north-west funnyman Ricky Tomlinson alongside Stephen Walters. Johnny has also found time to pursue his love of acting, you may have seen him in both the brilliant Moone Boy and the BBC’s fantastic Mr Stink.
